Saint Expédit helps if you spread the word

The other day I was reading William Dalrymple's The Age of Kali when I came across the curious tale of Saint Expédit. It seems that the saint became popular on the French island of Réunion when his bones got lost in the post. He is good for urgent causes, and the patron of dealers, sailors, students and examinees; he is also prayed to for success in lawsuits. His origins go back to Turin in the Middle Ages. He is connected to the vodou Baron La Croix, or Lakwa, of the dead and sexuality. The cool thing is that he is believed to grant any request within his power on the provision that the petitioner recommends his invocation to others, thereby spreading his cult. So spread the word and get lucky. The Age of Kali: Indian Travels and Encounters
